Metasurfaces and resonators for improvement of the signal-to-noise ratio and image resolution for MRI

Using the developed metasurfaces one can increase the signal-to-noise ratio by several times within the scan area due to the resonant enhancement of the high-frequency magnetic field magnitude and suppression of the electric field magnitude. Also the use of such devices will increase the image resolution, which in fact is determined by the noise level for a given voxel dimensions.

Metasurfaces for decoupling of closely-spaced elements of multi-channel coils for ultra-highfield MRI

Decoupling  of closely-spaced elements of multi-channel coils will increase the image resolution for the same number of channels, and also will reduce SAR, as it will make lager the distance between the coils and the object to be scanned preserving the same useful signal level.
